A romantic but affordable winter wedding or a Valentine’s Day wedding at the historic Asistencia in Redlands can be possible for ten couples in a new program announced by the San Bernardino County Museum, which administers the historic site. A Winter Wonderland Wedding Day on Thursday, December 19, 2013 and a Valentine’s Day Wedding Day on Friday, February 14, 2014 can be reserved by just five couples each day for special one-hour weddings. The fee for the one-hour use of the chapel for 25 guests, including the required insurance, is $382.00.

“We are taking reservations now for five special one-hour weddings each day, with the first ceremony beginning at 10:00 a.m. and ending with our final ceremony at 2:00 p.m.,” said Michele Nielsen, the museum’s curator of history. “Our chapel is a beautiful, intimate setting for a small, candle-lit ceremony. These five one-hour ceremonies on two special days are available for booking now, but will be filled quickly The wedding couple is free to engage their own officiant, or use the services of our resident officiant for an additional charge.”

The Asistencia also offers a new Wonderful Weekday Wedding opportunity every Thursday for couples who are looking for a special venue during the week. Five ceremony times are available each Thursday for one-hour weddings with 25 guests, at the same rates as the Winter Wonderland and Valentine’s Wedding Days.
