Republican gubernatorial candidate Tim Donnelly will address the Redlands Tea Party Patriots at its Jan. 9 meeting in Mentone. This is Donnelly’s first campaign stop in the Redlands area since he declared his candidacy on Nov. 5.
The conservative Donnelly may qualify for the Nov. 4 general election because recent polls show he could be among the top two vote getters during California’s June 3 primary. Donnelly has said he wants to make California “sexy” again for business.
Donnelly, R-Hesperia, is a state assemblyman representing district 33, which includes much of the Inland Empire and the San Bernardino Mountains.
Also speaking at that meeting is Paul Schrader, a candidate for San Bernardino County sheriff.
The Jan. 9 meeting is at the Mill Creek Cattle Co., 1874 Mentone Blvd., in Mentone. The two-hour meeting begins at 7 p.m., but Donnelly will appear at 6:30 p.m. for a meet-and-greet session. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with a no-host dinner. The meeting is free and open to the public.
