Ontario, California, January 31, 2011 – The City of Ontario is pleased to announce that the next citywide yard (garage) sale weekend is February 4, 5, and 6, 2011 (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday).  If rainy conditions exist on that Friday or Saturday, an alternate yard sale may be held on Saturday, February 12 and Sunday, February 13. This will be the first citywide yard sale of 2011.  The next yard sale weekend will be May 6, 7, and 8 of 2011.  Last year, the City adopted a garage sale ordinance giving residents the opportunity to hold more sales each year on fixed dates, and eliminating the need for garage sale permits and fees. The rules for signs (one 6 square foot sign on the owner’s property) and rules for merchandise sold (seller’s personal property only, no new or re-sold goods) will remain unchanged.
