FREE STOP THE BLEED CLASS TRAINS THE PUBLIC HOW TO STOP LIFE-THREATENING BLEEDS AFTER TRAUMA INJURY

WHAT: STOP THE BLEED Presented by Riverside University Health System Trauma Services in partnership with the American College of Surgeons, is a free 45-minute class that is regularly offered to train members of the public how to stop massive bleeding from traumatic injuries such as gunshot wounds and vehicle accidents. Just like knowing how to perform CPR, knowing how to stop massive bleeding from traumatic injuries can save lives! Be that bystander who knows what to do in an emergency.

WHEN: July 12 (Thursday) at 8 a.m., 9 a.m., 10 a.m. and 11 a.m.

WHY: Stop the Bleed is a national awareness campaign and call-to-action, part of RUHS Trauma Services’ mission to educate the public and cultivate grassroots efforts that encourage bystanders to become trained, equipped, and empowered to help in a bleeding emergency before professional help arrives.
