Ron Burgess will moderate an expert panel on Export Development and Innovation at the 2013 Inland Empire Manufacturing Summit in Ontario. “Expanding your market niche to other countries is a strategy many smaller manufacturers don’t pursue out of fear of the unknown or unfamiliar,” says Burgess, a marketing expert. “This panel wants to demonstrate how to start or increase your export revenue.”

Burgess is a seasoned expert in small business marketing development. He consults as “chief marketing officer” for several industrial, agra-business, and business service clients. He is a specialist in niche marketing. His book “Finding Your Crack In The Market” will be released this spring.

Panelists include three successful local exporters: Roy Paulson, of Paulson Manufacturing; Ron Meade, of Casa Herrerra Manufacturing; and Kusum Kavia, of Combustion Associates, Inc. The fourth panelist, Elizabeth Glynn, is an export consultant with industry consultants, CMCT.

CMCT provides consulting services to aerospace, automotive, defense, distribution, and healthcare industries. Their objective is to create solutions for the improvement of customers’ performance by fostering innovation and sharing knowledge in manufacturing processes.

Casa Herrera Manufacturing is a third generation family company engaged in food manufacturing machinery. They are the leading designer and manufacturer of custom machinery for the production of corn and flour tortillas, corn and tortilla chips, tostadas, taco shells, quesadillas, burritos, pita bread, pizzas, arepas, chapatis, and other ethnic foods from around the world.  The Pomona company invented the machinery to make tortilla chips.
