Fontana, California, August 30, 2011 – The Mayor and City Council invite the senior community to the Fontana Community Senior Center’s “Dental Care for Seniors” event on Wednesday, September 14 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. This event offers a presentation and free consultations provided by the Dental Assistant Program of Everest College.

According to the National Association of Dental Plans, “90% of medical illnesses, including osteoporosis, heart disease, stroke, diabetes, and respiratory infection, have an oral manifestation.” This astonishing statistic brings awareness to the importance of maintaining good oral health and scheduling regular dental visits.

For the “Dental Care for Seniors” event, consultations will be offered to those who attend the presentation and participants will be served on a first come, first serve basis.
