Perris California, Boys & Girls Clubs to Begin Operations
Perris, CA, — Boys & Girls Club of Perris (“B&GCP”) has joined thousands of other communities across the Nation to establish a local club in the City of Perris. On July 20, 2013, the Board of Directors of the Boys and Girls Club of Perris, a California Corporation launched an initiative to make the club a reality in the City and fulfill its Mission to “provide public benefit” to the children and families of the Perris Valley Communities through programs that will enable youth to engage in positive behaviors, develop good character, nurture their own well–being and set personal goals that will allow for them to live successfully as self-sufficient adults. The B&GCP has applied for an expedited certification of tax exemption from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) commonly referred to as a 501 (c)(3) and we are awaiting their decision.
“We are very excited to announce the B&GCP was selected to receive a New Club Grant in the amount of $40,000.00 from the Boys and Girls Club of America. And just yesterday we met with Riverside County Supervisor Marion Ashley and Jaime C. Hurtado. Supervisor Ashley pledged his support and awarded the B&GCP a $40,000 grant to help match the New Club Grant from the Boys and Girls Club of America. These grants will go a long way to help the B&GCP fulfill its mission,” said Jackie Ramos, Chief Executive Officer of the B&GCP.
“Today, the B&GCP received a pledge of support from Supervisor Marion Ashley and Jaime C. Hurtado. This is an affirmation of the hard work the B&GCP is doing and we welcome all the support and help we can gather from business, community and faith based organizations, civic leaders, higher-learning institutions and volunteers. Today we join thousands of other clubs across the nation with joy — to be able to serve the youth of our local communities, to help them develop good self-esteem and prepare them to be our future leaders,” said Jose Ramos, Chair of the Board of Director of the B&GCP.
“Our community is ready for us! I have students from Sierra Vista Elementary asking when the ‘big opening day’ will be. It’s a true blessing that Supervisor Marion Ashley and Jaime C. Hurtado have pledge their support not only financially, but with personal involvement as well. ” says Nenmi Rivera, Secretary of the Board of Directors of the B&GCP.
