The San Bernardino Valley Amateur Astronomers will celebrate Astronomy Day—at night—at the San Bernardino County Museum in Redlands on Saturday, April 20. The Redlands Day of Service on April 27, 2013 will see the creation of Heritage Park in Redlands and the museum’s adjacent Asistencia will receive much-needed renovations. The Redlands Service Club Council and the Helping Hands organization of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints collaborated with the San Bernardino County Museum to benefit the Asistencia, California Historical Landmark #42, on Barton Road. David D. Bowman, professor of geological sciences at California State University Fullerton, will give a guest lecture on earthquake prediction techniques at the San Bernardino County Museum in Redlands on Wednesday, March 27 at 7:30 p.m. The presentation is open to the public at no cost.
