TEMECULA, Calif., (August 2, 2013) – Shoppers in the Southwest Riverside County will be seeing some hot new brands at Promenade Temecula this summer. But these brands have less to do with fashion and everything to do with the good life enjoyed by the fashionable!    The shopping center has expanded its Wine Walk experience to now include two cornerstone local wineries:  Callaway Vineyards & Winery and Danza del Sol Winery.

“By pairing great shopping with these new producers of fine wine, we are bringing our guests an experience they just can’t get anywhere else,” notes Kym Espinosa, Director of Marketing for Promenade Temecula.

The Wine Walk, which launched in May of 2012, is a permanent installation in Promenade Temecula’s Main Street-style outdoor plaza.  The installation is made up of a series of stylized shadowboxes featuring individual stories and historical information about each participating winery, the grapes grown and used, and the wines they produce.

“Now that summer is in full swing, there’s no better time to stroll through our outdoor shopping area and take part in the rich wine culture that we have here in Temecula,” explains Espinosa. “Through the newly expanded Wine Walk, we are enhancing our shoppers’ experience by sharing the stories of even more wine producers, in an atmosphere that is interactive, educational, and beautiful.”

The two new Wine Walk wineries will bring more local culture to shoppers, according to Espinosa, who notes that each one brings a rich background and unique story to Promenade Temecula.  Information on the two new Wine Walk wineries is included below:

• Callaway Vineyards & Winery was founded by golf legend, Ely Reeves Callaway Jr.  Situated on 20 acres of estate vineyards, the winery prides itself on creating approachable, flavorful and extremely well-balanced wines.

Callaway’s vineyards are planted with seven different varietals including: Viognier, Syrah, Dolcetto, Zinfandel, Sangiovese, Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon.

• Danza del Sol Winery has provided the Temecula Wine Valley with exceptional wines for nearly 30 years, according to owner Robert Olson, who is dedicated to producing wines with a strong Mediterranean influence.

With more than 25 acres of planted vineyards, Danza del Sol offers a wide selection of varietals including: Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Tempranillo, Sangiovese, Syrah, Sauvignon Blanc, Gewürztraminer and Viognier.

“The addition of these two prestigious wineries will pair perfectly with our existing Wine Walk partners,” adds Espinosa.  Current Wine Walk wineries at Promenade Temecula include South Coast Winery Resort and Spa, Wilson Creek Winery, Leoness Cellars, Robert Renzoni Estate Vineyards, Gershon Bachus Vineyards, and Briar Rose Winery.

The Wine Walk experience at Promenade Temecula is open daily and located between Yard House and Pottery Barn in the outdoor shopping plaza.
