Riverside, CA – My Learning Studio OUTREACH, a 501©3 non-profit tutoring center in Riverside has received Scholarships and grants that will provide foster, court appointed students and students from low income families with free tutoring in the Riverside area.

Two students in particular, Sharlene and William, were recipients of 6 week of free tutoring through a scholarship from Riverside Assistance League Hearts and Hands. The scholarships, primarily focusing on understanding Common Core Standards were offered to the students for their dedication to the program and their desire to succeed in academics.   Sharlene wants to be a nurse to help others.

The scholarships were presented to the students on Monday, February 29^th  at My Learning Studio OUTREACH  in Riverside.  Mary Parks from PBS’s,Exploring the American Spirit, captured the exciting moment.  The episode will air March 21^st and 22^nd on PBS and will feature Lorna Jenkins, founder and director of the non-profit organization, My Learning Studio OUTREACH.   For more information on how you can get involved with Scholarships, Grants or volunteering your time, please call 951.789.5403.
