WEBSITES FOR SMALL BUSINESSES WEBINAR HOSTED BY CAL STATE CENTER
SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. – The Inland Empire Women’s Business Center at Cal State San Bernardino will host a webinar on Tuesday, March 20, to help business owners who are seeking to establish a presence on the Web.
“Websites for Small Businesses: Affordable Alternatives” is scheduled from 6-8 p.m., and can be taken online from any location with Internet access. The webinar is free to all who register. Space is limited, so register early by visiting www.iewbc.org or by calling 909-890-1242.
The webinar is deliberately non-technical, and will focus on how to acquire and maintain an Internet presence as a small business. The session will cover the basic costs for creating and owning a small business website, how to use free or low-cost services, and how to acquire advanced capabilities at affordable prices. Participants will also learn basic Internet marketing and search engine optimization concepts.
The Inland Empire Women’sBusinessCenteris a program of theInland EmpireCenterfor Entrepreneurship at Cal State San Bernardino in partnership with the U.S. Small Business Administration. The IEWBC provides business counseling, training and mentoring designed for women business owners.
The program provides services in English and Spanish toLatinabusiness owners, currently the fastest growing group of women business owners in the country.
The small business websites webinar is possible with generous funding from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act within the U.S. Department of Commerce and the California Emerging Technology Fund (CETF). CETF provides leadership statewide to minimize the Digital Divide by accelerating the deployment of broadband and other advanced communication services to underserved communities and populations.
The Inland Empire Women’sBusinessCenter’s hours are Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday by appointment only. The center also has a part-time outreach office inCorona, where it meets clients by appointment only on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
