Workshops focus on marketing strategy, business plans
Seminars provide valuable training for small business owners
(SAN BERNARDINO, CA) The City of San Bernardino, Economic Development Agency, Office of Business Development has two business-related workshops scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 9. The events will be held at the Office of Business Development, 201-B N. E Street, Suite 200, in San Bernardino.
The workshops are:
- “Writing a Business Plan,” from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., presented by Angel Cardoz of the Inland Empire Women’s Business Center. This workshop will focus on issues such as creating a business plan outline, goals and objectives and financial projections.
- “Marketing 101: Gaining New Customers with Little or No Money in Your Marketing Budget.” This workshop will be hosted from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. by Barry Davis of Ideabox Marketing & Design. Davis will share ideas about developing a marketing strategy and using alternative marketing concepts, such as public relations, word of mouth and event marketing.
Lori Tillery, economic development manager, said both of these workshops provide information which are invaluable to entrepreneurs and small business owners.
“The economy has forced many former employees to create their own businesses, and many of them need help when it comes to business planning and marketing strategy,” Tillery said.
The cost of each workshop is $15 online and $20 at the door.
