DiscoverIE Racing to NASCAR

(Inland Empire, California) —  The biggest sporting event in Southern California is coming to Fontana on the weekend of March 23-25, 2012, and DiscoverIE is racing to introduce tourism assets of the Inland Empire to NASCAR fans at the Auto Club Speedway. This NASCAR event draws visitors from near and far to the Inland Empire and is the perfect venue to introduce fans of motorsports to other tourism-related activities in the region.

Recently, the Auto Club Speedway FanZone has been rebranded as the DiscoverIE FanZone. Visitors will be wondering, “What is DiscoverIE?” And they will find the answer at the DiscoverIE exhibit located in the center of the FanZone. To celebrate this annual signature event, DiscoverIE and its partners are giving away free prizes at the exhibit to highlight some of the magnificent destinations in the region. Prizes such as event tickets and gift cards have been donated by:
aloft Rancho Cucamonga-Ontario
Auto Club Speedway
Big Bear Lake Resort Association
Citizens Business Bank ARENA
Huck Finn Jubilee
Ontario Convention Center
Pirate’s Cove Resort
San Manuel Indian Bingo & Casino

More to come
This special outreach program is an example of the kind of cooperative marketing programs DiscoverIE organizes for its marketing partners.

In the coming months, DiscoverIE will launch new marketing initiatives, host a tourism summit, and market the region’s tourism assets at the International Pow Wow and other suitable outlets. Stay tuned. Inland Empire businesses interested in partnering with IETC/DiscoverIE should visit www.IETCms.com for more information.
