11th Annual Homeless Summit In Ontario

11th Annual Homeless Summit taking place in Ontario

Ontario, Ca – The San Bernardino County Homeless Partnership in collaboration with the Office of Homeless Services will host its 11th Annual Homeless Summit in Ontario on Nov. 14.

All county departments, community- and faith-based organizations, and community members interested in ending homelessness in the county are welcome to attend. Registration is required, and can be completed by visiting the San Bernardino County Homeless Partnership website at http://wp.sbcounty.gov/dbh/sbchp/11th-annual-homeless-summit/.

The San Bernardino County Homeless Partnership in collaboration with the Office of Homeless Services will inform stakeholders and community members of the efforts and successes that have been made over the past year, share best practices, and present future program planning for the next 12 months to address the issue of homelessness in the county.

Guest speakers will include: Tom Hernandez, Homeless Services Manager, Office of Homeless Services; Sharon Green, Chair of San Bernardino County Homeless Provider Network; Fifth District Supervisor Josie Gonzales; Third District Supervisor James Ramos; Kim Carter, Founder/Ambassador of Time for Change Foundation; Heather Beidler and Deputy Mike Jones, San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department; Andre Bossieux, Transitional Age Youth Program Manager II, Department of Behavioral Health, San Bernardino County; Brenda Dowdy, Homeless Education Project Manager, Alliance for Education Branch, San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools; Darryl Evey, Director, and Levi Deatherage, Street Outreach Lead, Family Assistance Program; Amanda Tower, Housing Services Supervisor, Housing Authority of the County of San Bernardino; Karyn Young-Lowe, Founder and Chief Executive Officer, LightHouse Social Service Centers; and Marisela Manzo, Housing Coordination Supervisor, United Way 211.

The summit will be held from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Ontario Airport Hotel, 700 N. Haven Ave., Ontario.

The SBCHP works to develop countywide public and private partnerships and to coordinate services and resources to end homelessness in San Bernardino County.
