Assortment of activities are being planned at the 1st Annual MAD MAC Golf Tournament that gives participants a day of golf, dinner, casino and just a whole lot of fun. Yet, through all the festivities, numerous nonprofit organizations will receive funds that will have an impact on the youth in our communities.
The funds received are being generated by those that share in the same belief that our kids need resources and opportunities and it’s the nonprofit sector that can fulfill those needs with the services they provide directly in the inner trenches of the streets of the Inland Empire.
Those that know the need understand the lack of funding and believe that financial support is needed in order for those organizations to survive also know that at some level, they will contribute to 1st Annual MAD MAC Golf Tournament. Whether as a team of golfers, sponsorship, vendor or just a donation.. high participation will result in achieving the financial goals sought!
The 1st Annual MAD MAC Golf Tournament will feature several top athletes and various celebrities/artist who have joined forces with the MAD MAC Foundation to assure financial success is achieved. Confirmed players include: Host Lil Jordon, 13 year old 2010 Official Ambassador of USATF Junior Olympics Track and Field with special guest Desmond Bishop, Super Bowl Champ 2011 LB Green Bay Packers and the City of Fontana Mayor- Acquanetta Warren. Additional celebrities and artist are being confirmed and will be announced at a later. All confirmed celebrities/artist are coming on their own free will and MAD MAC Foundation is not responsible for any itinerary or schedule changes.

MAD MAC believes that the future lives on through the actions of our youth and we must educate our youth to be positive and productive members of society. We believe education starts at home, blossoms in schools, and flourishes in the community. While MAD MAC realizes that education is a key and essential part of youth success and subsequent career opportunities, we use a realistic approach to raising youth out of poverty, crime, and violence, by offering alternative options for high-risk youth. ABOUT AWARD WINNING YOUNG VISIONARIES: Young Visionaries Youth Leadership Academy is an award winning nonprofit organization proudly serving the youth of San Bernardino County since 2001. The organization’s purpose is to help enrich the lives of young people through life building activities and instruction in the areas of education, employment, health, mentoring, and community service. Since its founding, YVYLA has provided services and resources to over 10,000 community youth with training in a number of subjects; academic development, violence prevention, employment development, leadership and life skills development, and teen pregnancy prevention to name a few, in addition to delivering some of the area’s most memorable events for youth entertainment.

ABOUT DESMOND BISHOP:- Super Bowl Champ 2011 LB Green Bay Packers: Given name Desmond Lamont Bishop… Nicknamed ‘Dez’… Born in San Francisco, Calif. … Single… Father, Dennis, played football collegiately at Illinois and professionally in the USFL… High school: Attended Fairfield (Calif.) ABOUT MAYOR OF FONTANA, ACQUANETTA WARREN: Acquanetta Warren was appointed to the Fontana City Council on December 17, 2002 and elected in 2004. She served as a City Council Member through November 2010 when at that time she was elected as Mayor. Mayor Warren’s term will expire in 2014.
Prior to her appointment, Ms. Warren served as Co-Chairperson of the City of Fontana General Plan Advisory Committee and Chairperson of the Village of Heritage Development Landscape Committee. She also participated with the Fontana Public Works Department on the development of the landscape specifications and new program standards to lower costs and increase quality.
Ms. Warren is Deputy Director of Public Works-Operations in the Public Works Department in the City of Upland. She joined the City of Upland as a consultant in Housing Programs and later became a City employee in Fire, Building, Police, Code Enforcement, and Integrated Waste Management Departments. She is a member of the California Recreation Parks Society, Street Tree Seminar, Inc., Maintenance Services Association, and Municipal Assistants of Southern California. Previously she worked in banking as Vice President / Group Product Manager for Cash Management Services. Ms. Warren also worked for City of Los Angeles 8th District Councilman Robert Farrell focusing on the delivery of city services for youth and senior citizens.
Prior to her work in the City of Los Angeles, she worked for the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office as a member of the District Attorneys Youth Advisory Board developing community outreach programs. She received her B.A. in Political Science/Urban Studies from Occidental College.
