The UCR DEPARTMENT OF THEATRE produces a full season of first-rate theatrical productions throughout the academic year, including classic and new plays that reflect the diversity and interests of the UCR. The 2010-2011 season includes: Spring Awakening by Frank Wedekind and translated by Jonathan Franzen; How I Learned to Drive by Paula Vogel; Twelfth Night by William Shakespeare; iFamily, a touring production for the Gluck Fellows Program of the Arts by Kate Anger; Playworks, original works by UCR Playwrights, and a festival of original plays written by MFA graduate students in the Creative Writing and Writing for the Performing Arts program.
