Affordable Healthcare Questions Answered Through SBETA Workshops

San Bernardino, CA  – (10/10/13) Websites related to signing up for health care under Covered California have been swamped. But answers about plans are being provided face to face at area presentations.

The City of San Bernardino Employment & Training Agency (SBETA) announced today that the general public is encouraged to attend these free presentations, offered throughout the county, to find out about deadlines and penalties. Certified Educators will explain benefits such as free preventative and wellness services, pre-existing conditions, and pricing.

Workshops are being held in Redlands, at Child Help USA, 1743 Orange Tree Lane, every Monday morning 11 a.m.- 12 p.m. and Wednesday afternoon 3:30 – 4:30 p.m.; and in San Bernardino, at Molina Information Center, 500 Inland Center Mall Dr., every Tuesday evening 6 – 7 p.m. and Saturday afternoon 3-4 p.m. Both locations offer bi-lingual presentations.

Additional workshops are presented in the Town of Apple Valley at 14955 Dale Evans Parkway, on Monday and Wednesday afternoons 1:30 – 2:30 p.m.; and in Rancho Cucamonga, at RC Family Resource Center, 9791 Arrow Route, every Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5:30-6:30 p.m.

San Bernardino Employment & Training Agency (SBETA) received $750,000 in grant funding for the Covered California Outreach and Education Grant. They are the sole agency in San BernardinoCounty authorized to offer educational programming on the Affordable Healthcare Act to the public.
