Annual Community Assistance Program Resource Fair

Fontana, California, The Mayor and City Council invite the public to attend Community Assistance Program (CAP) Resource Fair on Thursday, April 26th from 12:00 to 3:30 pm at the Jessie Turner Health and Fitness Community Center. The Jessie Turner Health and Fitness Community Center is located at 15556 Summit Avenue, on the corner of Summit Avenue and Lytle Creek Road.

The CAP Resource Fair features over 100 local community organizations that provide resources, referrals and information related to community service programs, counseling services, day care, disability programs, health and wellness programs, housing programs, legal services, senior programs and many other areas.

Some of this year’s participants include: The American Lung Association, Bilingual Family Counseling Service Inc., First Step Montclair, IEHP Medicare Dual Choice HMO SNP, Internal Revenue Service, Smile Bright Dental and Susan G. Komen for the Cure Inland Empire, just to name a few.

“This event is designed to raise awareness about resources for individuals and families in the community, most people are unaware these resources exist,” says Linda Burton, the Fontana CAP Administrator.

The Community Assistance Program (CAP) is a partnership between the City of Fontana and Water of Life Community Church, which offers Fontana residents no-cost or low-cost community services. The Fontana CAP Resource Fair is open to the public at no charge. Participating agencies and organizations are required to register.
