ARKtech Co Receives Business of the Year Award

ARKtech Co accepts award for business of the year and recognition from the California State Assembly during Community Honors event held in Big Bear Lake California. Held at the Northwoods Resort by the Big Bear Chamber of Commerce, awards were presented by Big Bear Lake Councilman Rick Herrick and Big Bear Lake Mayor Jay Olbernolte.

Big Bear Lake, CA  – The Big Bear Chamber of Commerce presented its 2013 Business of the Year Award this week at a packed Community Honors Awards luncheon. Held at the North Woods Resort in Big Bear Lake, California, the awards program recognized the dedication, innovation, entrepreneurial spirit and community contributions by both individuals and small businesses who “make a difference.”

Big Bear Chamber Chairman Marlene Cain facilitated while the awards were presented by Big Bear Lake City Councilman Rick Herrick and Big Bear Lake Mayor Jay Obernolte. In his summary of why ARKtech was selected, Mayor Obernolte said, “She (Guerrero) is a long-time business owner,” who is known for her expertise, reliability and quality service.”

Other finalists considered for the award included Sonora Cantina (Gabriel and Maria Rojas), The Bath Workshop (Susan Pearson), O Koo Ran (Jeannie Antes), Body Tek (Joanne Ott) and Big Bear Vacations (Nick Lanza).

In her acceptance speech for the business of the year award and recognition from the California State Assembly, Guerrero said, “Everyone here is deserving and I thank you all for the support and the honor in giving us the business of the year award.”

A few of the reasons Olbernolte shared as to why ARKtech was selected as Business of the Year were:

•ARktech began educating local business owners on how to use technology to benefit from the 97% of consumers searching online in 2013.

•ARKtech implemented business training in conjunction with the Big Bear Chamber both offline and online.

•ARKtech began hosting a weekly broadcast for the Big Bear Chamber to keep members updated and to keep the organization top of mind and visible.

•ARKtech helped a local signature client benefit from a 30% increase in business not only earning both regional and state recognition from their industry, but also for the Big Bear valley.

“Small businesses are the heartbeat of the Big Bear economy and they provide vital services and products to both locals and to visitors. We want to see them succeed using the latest tools and strategies. It is a great honor to be recognized as the top small businesses in the area,” Guerrero said.
