Bring a new pair of sneakers and, with a $25 donation to RAM, one of our Art & Sole artists will turn your shoes into a masterpiece! Also on display this evening will be “soleful” work pre-painted by local artists such as Greg Adamson, Cosme Cordova, and Paulden Evans (a partial list). These pre-painted display shoes will be auctioned off at a future RAM fundraising event.
There will be crafts for kids and live music sponsored by Beats+Crates.com and City of Thieves during the event.
You’ll want to get your hands (and feet) on a pair so you can brag about your new kicks and the artist who did them…all to help support the arts and your local art museum. So bring your new shoes and run, don’t walk, to RAM during August’s Arts Walk!
Art & Sole is a fundraiser to support art education, fine art exhibits, and our Art-to-Go School Program where we provide art education in 20 Title I (low income) schools in our community.
RAM relies on the generosity of members and donors to support its exhibitions, education programs, and special events. A 50-plus-year-old, private, non-profit cultural arts institution housed in a National Historic 1929 building designed by Hearst Castle architect Julia Morgan, the museum welcomes over 50,000 visitors a year.
