Temecula hills will soon be alive with The Sound of Music
The Temecula Valley Players closed their 2012-2013 Season with a fantastic production of Cole Porters, Anything Goes. TVP is preparing for the opening of their 2013-2014 Season with auditions for the family favorite, The Sound of Music on Saturday July 20th at 10:00am, Sunday July 21st at 1:00pm and callbacks will be held on Monday at 7:00pm. They will be held at the TVP warehouse located at 41606 Date Street Ste 202/202A, Murrieta 92562 (behind 41610 Date St.) All roles are open and this is non-paying.
The show runs from Sept 12-29, 2013. Don Vecchione is the director, Brian Smith-Musical Director and Stephanie Vecchione-choreographer. Please bring a resume’, current headshot or photo and any conflicts you may have during rehearsal time. This is a vocal audition, all auditioner’s must come prepared to sing a one-minute, karaoke style (no lead vocals) Broadway song, even if you are auditioning for a non-singing role. It is preferred and STRONGLY suggested that this song be from a Rodgers and Hammerstein musical, but NOT from The Sound of Music. However, if you are unable to come with a Rodgers and Hammerstein piece, a similar style of song may be used. Your accompaniment MUST be on CD (make sure it plays on a regular CD player) or on an I-Pod device that will be able to be plugged into an I-Pod docking station.
