Be A Maker Club launches their mobile makerspace at Maker Faire San Diego

Upland, Ca – Don’t just assemble parts in a kit. Learn by making at Be A Maker Club. Started by a parent as a resource for their own children, they teach children to make using 3D printers, laser engraver, CNC, sewing machine, vinyl cutter, soldering iron and multiple hand tools.

Be A Maker Club provides makerspaces for children. Their mission is to provide a safe space where children can make, explore and experiment. They want to develop and sustain children’s interest in Science, Technology, Robotics, Engineering, Arts and Math.

Be A Maker, UplandLaunched in Feb 2018, in Upland California, they partnered with Project Think hosting a summer enrichment program for nearly 400 children. With their mobile makerspace they can travel to different locations all over the Inland Empire with their machines. They can conduct enrichment programs, provide STEM class support or help run after school activities.

Their motto is ‘Hi-tech with high touch.’ They want young makers to embrace technology with hands-on learning. They encourage learning through making mistakes, observing others and exploration. Their instructors play the role of a coach, encouraging the children to make their own design and material choices. With classes catered for children as young as 5 years old up to 14 years, Be A Maker Club want to Get America Making Again #GAMA.
