Sign up today as the Junior Lifeguard Program will begin Tuesday, September 7. Classes will be held Tuesday and Thursday from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm. The first session will run from September 7 through October 7 and the second session will run from October 19 through November 18. Fees for this program are $50 for residents and $60 for non-residents. The program will be held at the FPAC located at 15610 Summit Avenue in Fontana.
This course will teach the fundamentals of lifeguarding such as decision making skills, how to recognize a distressed swimmer, and how to prevent and respond to emergencies. After completing the course, participants will receive a certificate, t-shirt and the opportunity to apply as a volunteer lifeguard!
