2011 Docent classes starting up for at the Moonridge Animal Park

Big Bear – For those of you who appreciate being around wildlife plus working with people who feel the same, why not become a docent with the Friends of the Moonridge Zoo?  Some popular docent volunteer activities are being a park roamer mixing with the park visitors; providing help during special events in and outside of the park; preparing food in the animal kitchen; working the gift shop or our grazing corral (snack bar); flower gardening and light maintenance.  What would you like to do?

The Friends are starting their Adult Education Program that will run four consecutive Saturdays 11:00 am – 1:00 pm starting April 16, 2011.  For more information or to register, please contact the Friends of the Moonridge Zoo Office (909) 878-4200.

The Friends of the Moonridge Zoo was formed in 1989 as a non-profit public benefit corporation whose purpose is to support the Moonridge Animal Park through: (1) Educating the public regarding treatment, protection, and conservation of wildlife; (2) Recruiting and coordinating zoo volunteers; and (3) Fundraising.
