Business Community Shows Off their Fontana Pride through Day of Service

Fontana Business

Fontana, Calif. – This spring, business members are finding opportunities to spend time outdoors to give back to their community. Today, associates from Duke Realty rolled up their sleeves to help clean up the Mary Vagle Nature Center located at 11501 Cypress Avenue.

“When choosing where to donate our time as part of the company’s nationwide Day of Service effort, our team unanimously voted to volunteer at the Nature Center as a way of giving back to Fontana in return for the opportunities the community has given us to grow our business,” said Chris Burns, Senior Regional Senior Vice President of Duke Realty’s California and Seattle operations. Duke Realty owns and manages five buildings in Fontana and are 100 percent leased.

“Thank you to Duke Realty for helping keep the Mary Vagle Nature Center beautiful for all residents to enjoy.” states Mayor Acquanetta Warren. “The City of Fontana is appreciative of the kind gesture and we encourage other businesses to get involved in the upcoming Park Clean-Up Days.”

The City of Fontana Public Works Department is continuing the work Duke Realty started in providing outdoor maintenance at Mary Vagle with a Park Clean-Up Day from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Mary Vagle Nature Center on Saturday, April 13, 2019. Volunteers will be spreading mulch and clearing walkways.
