LUE Productions (Launching Unique Entertainment & Production Company) in conjunction with The Jazz & Art Exchange will be hosting an Urban Fashion Show for the community on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at 2:00 pm, at the Jazz and Art Exchange, 132 South Arrowhead Ave., San Bernardino, CA 92408.
LUE Productions, owned and operated by Lucretia Dowdy, is calling the community to participate in a special event that will mix an urban fashion show with hip hop/R&B, art and live performances in order to provide community outreach.
Ms. Dowdy believes that one of the most effective ways to improving the community is through showcasing talent and providing a public forum for both children and adult. Ms. Dowdy has already shown herself to be a force in the community by organizing karaoke shows, hip hop contests, poetry readings and comedy shows in San Bernardino through partnerships with local businesses, colleges such as San Bernardino Valley College, and California State University, San Bernardino and local places of interest such as The Jazz & Art Exchange, and the Empire Night Club.
This Urban Fashion Show is to be first of major special events for families in San Bernardino that will include musical concerts, talent shows, theatrical plays, sports events, and more. A large portion of proceeds from the show are to be donated to local nonprofit organizations that focus on at-risk youth in the community.
Local fashion designers, artists, musicians, entertainers in the IE are welcome to come and be a part of this Urban Fashion show and Art Fair Fashion Designers who participate can also participate for a cash prize. Artists and musicians and entertainers can showcase their talents and local businesses, as well.
