Assembly Member Wilmer Amina Carter was appointed by Speaker John A. Pérez to the Assembly Arts, Entertainment, Sports, Tourism and Internet Media Committee for the 2011-2012 Regular Session.
“I look forward to the opportunity to serve on this committee with a special focus on the committee’s priority of ensuring that our schools catch up to ways of learning in the digital age,” Assembly Member Carter said. “We must modernize our education system by placing digital literacy at the heart of our schools’ teaching.”
Assembly Member Wilmer Amina Carter represents District 62, which includes Rialto, Colton, Muscoy, Bloomington and portions of Fontana and San Bernardino.
