Catch the Spirit at Pilgrim Place

CLAREMONT, CA–Michael Shea, chair of the Claremont Sustainability Task force, is the featured speaker at Catch of Spirit of Pilgrim Place.  The theme of the event this year is “Going Green–A Journey Toward Sustainability.”

The event is being held Monday, May 16, at Pilgrim Place.  It starts at 5:30 pm.

“The focus on sustainability at Pilgrim Place exemplifies the ‘triple bottom line’ of people, planet and profit,” said Shea  “As good stewards they not only promote ecological and social justice, they are evolving a sustainable and profitable business model.”

Hors d’oeuvres and wine will be served at 5:30 pm on the lawn outside Porter Hall.  At 6:30, participants move into Abernethy Dining Room for dessert and the program. Entertainment will be provided by the Pilgrim Pickers.  There event will also include volunteer recognition.

Pilgrim Place was founded in 1915.  It is a community for individuals who have been called to careers in religious and charitable non-profit organizations.   Emblematic of the residents at Pilgrim Place is the continued activism and outreach to others.
