11/12/2016 | Box Score – SAN MARCOS, Calif. – In its second matchup against a ranked team, No. 2 California Baptist University’s comeback attempt came up just short with an 82-74 loss to No. 17-ranked UC San Diego Saturday night.

11/12/2016 – SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. – A three-bout winning streak, including two technical falls, gave California Baptist University a strong finish to its dual at NCAA Division I Cal Poly on Saturday. The Mustangs were not to be outdone, however, and came away with the 30-13 victory.

Baseball: Gold Completes Comeback in Classic Finale

11/12/2016 – RIVERSIDE, Calif. – Starting pitching limited both offenses in Saturday’s fifth and final winner-take-all game in California Baptist University’s Fall World Series Classic. It was the Gold team’s late-inning heroics on offense and lights-out bullpen that led it to a 3-0 win and series championship over the Blue team Saturday morning.

Men’s Water Polo: Lancers Take Timeout for Seniors in Win

11/12/2016 – RIVERSIDE, Calif. – Ironically enough, the highlight of Senior Day between California Baptist University and Concordia came during a timeout on Saturday afternoon.

Up 12 with four minutes to play, Coach Kevin Rosa took an opportunity to take out his four seniors: utility Elad Gunya, attacker Teddy Forte, driver Brent Teraoka and goalie Joseph Moorman, which allowed the packed stands at the Lancer Aquatics Center to give them a standing ovation on their Senior Day.

Baseball Gold Forces Winner-Take-All Finale

11/11/2016 – RIVERSIDE, Calif. – It will all come down to game five of California Baptist University’s Fall World Series Classic after Gold forced a deciding game in a 1-0 win over Blue in Friday afternoon’s game four at Totman Stadium.

11/11/2016 – LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Before it hosts its second-annual Lancer Diving Invitational, California Baptist University tested itself to see how it measured up against some of the best competition in all of the NCAA – Division I or II – on Friday at the University of Southern California’s Trojan Diving Invitational.

There were seven D-I squads in attendance: USC, UCLA, Bakersfield, San Diego State, Fresno State, Air Force and Cal Poly. Still, CBU received a 23rd-place finish from senior Lauren Skinner on the 3-meter board.

Baseball: Blue Takes 2-1 Lead in Fall Classic

11/10/2016 – RIVERSIDE, Calif. – Three days into California Baptist University’s Fall World Series Classic, the Blue team holds a 2-1 lead over the Gold team, with two more games to be played.

It has been a tightly-contested series so far, with both of Blue’s wins in games one (5-4) and two (5-4) coming before the Gold team got on the board and avoided the series loss with a 4-2 win on Wednesday. A must-win situation faces the Gold team again in Friday’s game at 2 p.m.
