It was the Gold team’s late-inning heroics on offense and lights-out bullpen that led it to a 3-0 win and series championship over the Blue team Saturday morning.

Up 12 with four minutes to play, Coach Kevin Rosa took an opportunity to take out his four seniors: utility Elad Gunya, attacker Teddy Forte, driver Brent Teraoka and goalie Joseph Moorman, which allowed the packed stands at the Lancer Aquatics Center to give them a standing ovation on their Senior Day.

11/11/2016 – RIVERSIDE, Calif. – It will all come down to game five of California Baptist University’s Fall World Series Classic after Gold forced a deciding game in a 1-0 win over Blue in Friday afternoon’s game four at Totman Stadium.
Justin Montgomery led Gold to victory in one hour, 11 minutes, with a seven-inning shutout in the pitcher’s duel. The sophomore allowed just two hits and struck out six to overshadow Andrew Bernstein’s complete-game effort for the Blue team.

11/11/2016 – LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Before it hosts its second-annual Lancer Diving Invitational, California Baptist University tested itself to see how it measured up against some of the best competition in all of the NCAA – Division I or II – on Friday at the University of Southern California’s Trojan Diving Invitational.
There were seven D-I squads in attendance: USC, UCLA, Bakersfield, San Diego State, Fresno State, Air Force and Cal Poly. Still, CBU received a 23rd-place finish from senior Lauren Skinner on the 3-meter board.

11/10/2016 – RIVERSIDE, Calif. – Three days into California Baptist University’s Fall World Series Classic, the Blue team holds a 2-1 lead over the Gold team, with two more games to be played.
It has been a tightly-contested series so far, with both of Blue’s wins in games one (5-4) and two (5-4) coming before the Gold team got on the board and avoided the series loss with a 4-2 win on Wednesday. A must-win situation faces the Gold team again in Friday’s game at 2 p.m.
