Women’s Volleyball: Historic Moment For CBU

12/1/2016 | Box Score – For the first time in program history, California Baptist University competed in the NCAA Division II playoffs. A strong start and finish was not enough for the sixth-seeded Lancers to overcome the third seed and reigning West Region champion Western Washington in a three-set loss, 25-23, 25-11, 31-29 in the regional quarterfinals.

Women’s Basketball: Balanced Effort Leads Lancers

12/3/2016 | Box Score – RIVERSIDE, Calif. – Last time Azusa Pacific came to the Van Dyne Gym, it came down to one point. While No. 10-ranked California Baptist University still got the win, it didn’t let it come down to the wire, grabbing an 81-71 victory over its rival.

The Lancers improve to 9-2, 2-0 in the PacWest with their sixth-straight win. The Cougars drop to 3-6, 1-1 in conference.

Women’s Swimming and Diving: More Highlights For Lancers

12/3/2016 – Even after two strong days at the UNLV Invite, California Baptist University still had more in the tank in the third and final day Saturday.

With 525 points, the shorthanded, 15th-ranked Lancers in NCAA Division II finished fifth in the primarily Division I event, which featured University of Nevada, Reno (first, 890), University of the Pacific (second, 834) and the host University of Nevada, Las Vegas (third, 679). CBU takes a bit of a hiatus, but returns home and to action when it hosts Claremont-Mudd-Scripps in a dual Friday, Jan. 6th at noon.

12/3/2016 – For the second time in three days, Robert Griffith showed he and the rest of California Baptist University stack up well against NCAA Division I competition by winning another individual race to help his team secure a top-two finish at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas Invite on Saturday.

Wrestling: Fiegener Places Fifth at Cliff Keen

12/3/2016 | Wrestling  For the second year in a row, California Baptist University placed an individual at the prestigious Cliff Keen Invitational. Nick Fiegener, a sophomore 184-pounder, secured a seventh-place finish with two wins on Saturday to become the third Lancer to finish in the top-eight in their weight class.

Men’s Swimming and Diving: Quartet Plays Big Role In Day Two

12/2/2016 | LAS VEGAS – A total of 10 top-five performances ensured California Baptist University did not lose any momentum at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas Invite on Friday. The 13th-ranked Lancers in Division II head into Saturday’s final day still in second place at the UNLV Invite with 593 points.

Wrestling: Lancers Reach New Heights at Cliff Keen

12/2/2016 | LAS VEGAS – For the first time in program history, California Baptist University has qualified two wrestlers for the second day of the Cliff Keen Invitational. Nolan Kistler and Nick Fiegener moved on through Friday’s first day of the primary NCAA Division I event.

Men’s Basketball: Lancers Dig Deep in PacWest Opener

12/1/2016 | | Box Score – No. 5-ranked California Baptist University had to dig deep in the final minute of its PacWest opener to defeat Point Loma 68-62 Thursday night.

The Lancers improve to 7-0 and open conference at 1-0 with their seventh-straight win. The Sea Lions drop to 3-4 overall, 0-1 in the PacWest.
