CDF Firefighter’s Riverside Chapter represents more than 1,000 Firefighters within the Riverside County and responds to more than 110,000 emergencies annually.
Councilman Botts said, “I am so pleased and honored to be endorsed by the CDF Firefighter’s group from Riverside County. They are an outstanding group of men and women who are such an integral part of our public safety in Banning as they daily respond to fires or medical emergencies”.
Botts continued, “We coordinated very closely with CDF this past year as we worked to retain Station and Engine Company #20 at the 6th and Highland Springs site and we were able to accomplish that. In addition, through the negotiations, Beaumont is now contributing $500,000 a year to the cost of Engine 20, as is Riverside County also paying $500,000 annually. This final resolution maintains the closeness and short response time of the firefighters and paramedic as well as savings Banning Taxpayers nearly $1,000,000.00.
The Firefighters concluded, “As professional firefighters we are committed to keeping the citizens of Riverside County and our contract cities safe. We look forward to working with you and Banning in the future to enhance public safety.”
