Fontana Mayoral candidate Bobbi Jo Chavarria received the endorsement of the Community Action Fund of Planned Parenthood of Orange and San Bernardino Counties (CAFPPOSBC). The CAFPPOSBC is a separately incorporated 501(c)4 non-profit organization which serves as the political arm of Planned Parenthood of Orange and San Bernardino Counties. The Community Action Fund engages in advocacy activities, including lobbying and electoral work that protects access to safe and legal reproductive health care.
“For more than 90 years, Planned Parenthood has promoted a commonsense approach to women’s health and well-being and I am grateful for the endorsement of CAFPPOSBC,” said Chavarria. “Their skilled health care professionals are dedicated to offering men, women, and teens high-quality, affordable medical care. I see them as a vital resource to any community as trusted health-care provider, informed educator and a passionate advocate.”
Chavarria’s campaign emphasizes the need for good-paying jobs, affordable housing, quality education, and business opportunities and essential needs and services close to home in a thriving and safe environment.
“I have pledged to represent the entire city and foster a sense of pride and community. Together, we can make our city work for everyone and access to the high-quality health care and education that Planned Parenthood provides is essential,” she said.
Chavarria graduated from Fontana High School, and later earned her Business Technology certificate degree from Skadron Business College in San Bernardino. She and her husband, Gil Chavarria, Jr., bought a home in Fontana in 1993 where they currently reside with their infant son, Ethan.
