City of Eastvale Opens for Business October 4th

Eastvale, CA: Eastvale, California’s newest City, will open its doors for business on October 4, 2010 just four months after voters passed Measure A in favor of incorporation in June.

“We have waited a long time for this day,” said Adam Rush, Chairman of the City Council-elect. “We are thrilled that Eastvale residents will now enjoy local control of the services that will shape our community.”

City Hall will be located at 6080 Hamner Ave., Suite 103 and will be open for business Monday through Thursday from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM. The first official day of business at city hall will be Monday, October 4.

“We have a management team in place to begin work and is ready to provide our residents with the services they have requested,” said City Manager Robert Van Nort. Services including planning, public works, and building and safety will be managed by the City. Police services will continue to be provided by the Riverside County Sherriff’s Department with fire services provided by CalFire.

The City Council will hold its meetings on the second & fourth Wednesdays of the month at 6:30 PM at Rosa Parks Elementary School, 13830 Whispering Hills Drive. The first official meeting of the City Council will take place at 3:15 p.m. on

October 1, 2010 at Roosevelt High School, 7447 Cleveland Ave. An inaugural celebration of the new city will follow.
