Civil War Re-Enactment

(Prado Regional Park, Chino, CA) – Civil War enthusiasts and families are invited to relive American History from March 31 and April 1, 2012 at Prado Regional Park in Chino.

The Southern California Civil War Association will reenact the battles of Petersburg, Shenandoah Valley and Kennesaw Mountain. Attendees will enjoy tours of both Union and Confederate camps, a field hospital, mounted cavalry, full-scale artillery demonstrations, a Civil War period fashion show, and speeches by the Honorable Abraham Lincoln. Battles will take place twice daily — Saturday at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m.; Sunday at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Cub Scouts and Boy and Girl Scouts are encouraged to participate in a cross cut saw competition, scout battle, tug-o-war challenge and more.

History will be brought to life providing a full weekend of family entertainment. Food vendors will be on hand. Admission for this event is $10 for parking, $10 adult (one day) or $15 weekend pass; $5 child (2-12) one day or $7.50 weekend pass; under 2 years are FREE. Boy, Girl and Cub Scouts and their parents in Scout uniforms will be admitted for $2 per person.
