Co-Sponsorship Opportunities Available

Qualifying non-profit organizations may apply in February

Fontana, California The Mayor and City Council invite non-profit organizations in the City of Fontana to apply for co-sponsorship opportunities for the 2011 – 2012 fiscal year. Typically, co-sponsorships are associated with an event that is planned and conducted by an outside non-profit organization with the assistance of City resources such as staff time, public safety services and/or the use of City facilities and/or equipment.

The City of Fontana allocates funds (if available) annually for the purpose of assisting non-profit Fontana-based organizations hosting Community events.  The City does not provide monetary funds for these co-sponsored events, but in-kind services. Applications are reviewed on a fiscal year basis (July – June)  Organizations seeking co-sponsorship assistance are required to submit a Co-sponsorship application ONLY from February 1^st thru February 28^th or from September 1^st thru September 30^th of each year. All applications must be turned in at least (1) one year prior to the event. Due to the extensiveness of the approval process, all applicants are encouraged to submit their applications during the February filing period as all monies are allocated based on the priority of the event, meeting all defined criteria and on a first come first serve basis. Any application not turned in on time will automatically be denied.

Qualifying applicants must show proof of 501(c)3 non-profit or that the event is not for profit, must be based in the incorporated boundaries of Fontana, the event must be open to all Fontana residents and the event must be a significant benefit to the Fontana Community.
