Coachella Valley Women’s Business Center Will Present “Get Control With QuickBooks Pro” Seminar Series Beginning April 4

Coachella Valley Women’s Business Center will present “Get Control with QuickBooks Pro” beginning April 4, 2013, and for five consecutive Thursdays thereafter.

The series will take place from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Skills Lab at Workforce Development Center at 44-199 Monroe Street in Indio. Cost for the series is $150, and will include a textbook.

The series is a hands-on, progressive view of QuickBooks 2012 software designed to help participants learn the main functions and transactions of the world’s most user-friendly accounting software. Participants in the series should have a basic knowledge of accounting terms and concepts, and should possess typing skill adequate to keep pace with the data entry required.

Instructor for the series is Catherine B. Satter, CEO of Griffin Bookkeeping/Gartland Group. Mrs. Satter has advanced skills in accounting, payroll, accounts payable/receivable and account reconciliation using QuickBooks and Excel; her core area of expertise is helping business owners and executives utilize the financial information generated by a properly managed set of books.

The Coachella Valley Women’s Business Center is a program of the Inland Empire Center for Entrepreneurship at Cal State San Bernardino in partnership with the U.S. Small Business Administration. The CVWBC is a grant-funded program which provides free business counseling, free and low-cost workshops and events, and mentoring designed for women business owners, but available to all.

The program provides services in English and Spanish to Latina business owners, currently the fastest growing group of women business owners in the country.

The Coachella Valley Women’s Business Center’s hours are Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday by appointment only.
