Coffee With A Cop in Eastvale

Riverside County Sheriff Header

Eastvale, CA – On March 23, 2017, the Eastvale Police Department and community members will be coming together in an informal setting at a local restaurant to discuss community issues and build relationships while enjoying a cup of coffee. All community members are invited to attend. The event will take place from 8:00AM – 10:00AM on March 23, 2017, at Farmer Boys – 12545 Limonite Avenue, Eastvale, CA 91752.

Coffee with a Cop provides an opportunity for community members to ask questions, learn more about the Eastvale Police Department and meet the deputies serving their community.  There will be no agenda or speeches, just an opportunity to voice your concerns and get to know the deputies serving your community.

The majority of contacts law enforcement has with the public happen during emergencies or emotional situations. Those situations are not always the most effective times for relationship building with the community, and some community members may feel that deputies are unapproachable on the street. Coffee with a Cop breaks down barriers and allows for a relaxed, one-on-one interaction.

Coffee with a Cop is a national initiative supported by the United States Department of Justice, Office of Community Oriented Policing Services. Similar events are being held across the country, as local police departments, sheriff’s offices, and state police forces strive to make lasting connections with communities they serve.

The Eastvale Police Department would like to thank Farmer Boys in advance for their support of this event. Anyone with questions about the Coffee with a Cop event can contact Deputy Michelle Shamhart at the Eastvale Police Department at (951)955-2600.
