Cole Vocational Services Participates in Komen Inland Empire Race for the Cure

Temecula, CA:  Cole Vocational Services in Temecula, a provider of services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, is proud to be participating in this year’s Komen Race for the Cure on Sunday, October 16th.

“Team Cole Vocational Services Temecula is thrilled to be participating in the Komen Race for the Cure,” said Jennie Hurley, Program Administrative Coordinator. “The opportunity to participate in this event—and give back to our community—has been a terrific opportunity for those we serve. Our team is made up not only of individuals who receive services from Cole Vocational Services—many of whom began this process with the mentality that they could walk only a mile and are now walking two to three miles a day—but also family and friends as well as staff from our organization.”

“The purpose of developing a team was to show the individuals we serve, many of whom who have had people caring for them their whole lives, what it feels like to do something wonderful for someone else,” said Hurley. “They are stoked!”

Hurley encourages the community to either join the team to walk or make a charitable donation. Donations can be made online at http://www.komenie.org/komen-race-for-the-cure/donate/ under the team name Cole Vocational Services Temecula.
