Come Join Us for National Night Out in Idyllwild

Idyllwild, CA – The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, Hemet Station, invites the community to the 2017 National Night Out event being held on Tuesday, August 1, 2017, at the Idyllwild Community Center located at 54201 Ridgeview Drive, Idyllwild, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. 

The event will feature displays of specialized equipment utilized by law enforcement, firefighters, and public safety members.  There will be a host of activities and displays for children of all ages.  The Idyllwild Rotary will be preparing hot dogs and serving refreshments at a minimal cost with the proceeds benefiting Rotary International and the local Hemet Station Explorer Post.

National Night Out is an opportunity to generate community support for crime prevention awareness and public safety and supported by the National Association of Town Watch (NATW).  NATW is a non-profit crime prevention organization dedicated to the development and promotion of crime prevention in communities across the nation.  It promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods a safe and better place to live.  Each year, law enforcement and neighborhoods throughout America, host “National Night Out” in their communities through local events, such as block parties, cookouts, parades, youth events, and seminars.
