Commerce Center Approved in Upland

Central Avenue Upland California

71,000 Square Feet of Warehouse to be Built in Upland West Area

Upland, CA – By unanimous vote, the Upland Planning Commission and Cable Airport Land Use Committee approved the Upland Central Commerce Center, a 4-building, 71,384 square foot industrial project on the northeast corner of Central Avenue and 11th Street.  The buildings will range in size from 13,970 square feet to 25,594 square feet.  Upland-based real estate developer Moore Real Estate Group is behind the project.

“As members of the Upland business community, we are excited about the transformation taking place in the College Park neighborhood, and are proud to be taking part by bringing a high-image, small building industrial project that will attract new employment and market leading businesses to the area,” said CEO Jennifer Moore.

The developer was careful to blend this project in with the existing neighborhood, using colors and style that reflect the architecture of the live-work residential units across the street.  The project is scheduled for completion in mid-2019.

“This project will help fill the continuation of a growing migration of tenants that are expanding into the Inland Empire from Los Angeles and Orange Counties due to the lack of available supply.  The Port of Los Angeles is now the #1 container port in the United States by volume and with e-commerce and logistics driving demand for employment, the Inland Empire has not been able to keep up with driving demand. ” said Dean Washle of Newmark Knight Frank.

This development is the latest to be approved in the former unincorporated area that was annexed by Upland over a decade ago.  Nearby is KB Homes Harvest at College Park, with 318 homes under construction, Upland Central, with 78 new live/work lofts under construction, as well as the area’s first Whole Foods 365 and surrounding shopping center, located just 1 mile north of Upland Central Commerce Center.
