Community Action Partnership Seeks Applicants for a Seat on CAP Commission

Community Action Partnership of Riverside County is seeking applicants for a position on its Commission that will serve as the “low-income” representative for District 1. The low-income representative will be chosen by election of voters in District 1 on September 16, 2019.

Those interested for the position must submit their application by 9 a.m. August 26, 2019.

Those interested in the low-income seat must live in District 1 and should be members of the low-income community (candidates need not themselves be low-incomehowever, preference in selection shall be given to low income individuals). District 1 includes the cities of Wildomar, Lake Elsinore, Canyon Lake and most of the City of Riverside.  The district also includes the unincorporated communities of DeLuz, Gavilan Hills, Good Hope, Lake Hills, Lake Mathews, LaCresta, Mead Valley, Meadowbrook, Spring Hills, Temescal Valley, Tenaja, Warm Springs, and Woodcrest.

 Applicants cannot be a member or family member of the Community Action Partnership Riverside staff, the Community Action Commission or the Riverside County Board of Supervisors.

 Community Action Commission meets on the third Thursday of every month (no meetings in August and December). Representatives/Commissioners are volunteers who are dedicated to the mission of community action and are willing to participate on various committees and Commission activities to serve low-income people. Community Action Partnership is part of Riverside University Health System-Public Health.
