Congressman McKeon to Host Luncheon Honoring Military Academy Appointees
Who: Congressman Howard “Buck” McKeon and 25th District Military Academy Appointees.
What: Congressman McKeon will be honoring this year’s Military Academy Appointees at a luncheon featuring honorable guests from the U.S. Air Force Academy, U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, U.S. Military Academy and the U.S. Naval Academy.
About the Military Academy Nominations: Congressman McKeon is pleased to announce the Military Academy Appointees from CA’s 25th Congressional District for 2012. These students have undergone a long and rigorous application process which includes: physical evaluations, physical fitness tests and interviews. These students have been awarded prestigious offers to earn their commissions from a United States Military Academy. To receive an offer of appointment to the U.S. Military Academy, Naval Academy, Air Force Academy or Merchant Marine Academy, an individual must (1) apply to the academy of choice, and(2) apply for a nomination from a nominating source. These sources are the President, Vice President, U.S. Senators and U.S. Congressmen.
These students have proven to be among the most competitive students in the nation. They have worked hard and have proven to be among the best the nation has to offer. They will be reporting for duty at their respective academies in the coming weeks.
