CORONA BUSINESS ASSISTANCE PROGRAM OFFERS WORKSHOP ON UNDERSTANDING BUSINESS FINANCIAL STATEMENTS
CORONA, California — The Inland Empire Women’s Business Center at Cal State San Bernardino will hold a workshop on Wednesday, July 18, in Corona to help people considering launching a new business or who are at the beginning stages of operating their own businesses to understand the various financial statements of a business.
Know your numbers! Understanding the basics of accounting and finance is vital if you are planning to succeed in business. As an attendee, you will receive an overview of the accounting and finance principles for a small business and be provided with the framework to make more timely and accurate business decisions.
“Understanding Your Financials,” will be from 6-8 p.m. in the multipurpose room of the Corona City Hall, 400 S. Vicentia Ave., in Corona. There will be a $20 attendance fee for those who preregister online at www.iewbc.org or $25 at the door. Corona residents are invited to attend at no cost with proof of residency.
The event is presented by the Corona Women’s Business Partnership, which is organized by the Inland Empire Women’s Business Center in collaboration with the Corona Business Assistance Program. Corona business owners and residents have access to the Corona Business Assistance Program as a resource partner in their pursuit of small business growth and success.
The CBA program offers monthly start-up workshops and provides free business counseling by appointment only each Wednesday and Thursday at the Corona Public Library.
The Inland Empire Women’s Business Center is a program of the Inland Empire Center for Entrepreneurship at Cal State San Bernardino in partnership with the U.S. Small Business Administration.
The IEWBC provides business counseling, training and mentoring designed for women business owners. The program also offers services in English and Spanish to Latina business owners, currently the fastest growing group of women who own businesses in the country.
The Inland Empire Women’s Business Center’s hours are Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday by appointment only.
