Corona Received the Award of Excellence in Financial Reporting

CORONA COMPREHENSIVE ANNUAL FINANCIAL REPORT RECEIVES AWARD FOR EXCELLENCE

Corona, CA – The Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) has announced that the City of Corona, California has received the GFOA’s Excellence in Financial Reporting for its 2016-17 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR).

The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by the City of Corona’s Administrative Services Department.

“We are proud of the dedication of our team has shown in creating another award-winning CAFR to serve our stakeholders,” said Kerry Eden, Assistant City Manager & Administrative Services Director. “Corona is committed to demonstrating a spirit of full disclosure in order to best communicate our financial story to our residents.”

“Creating an award-winning CAFR is a significant step toward our goal of continued public engagement and transparency,” said City Manager Darrell Talbert. “and it wouldn’t be possible without the hard work of our incredible finance team.”
