Furthering Education through CREW
CREW Network contributes mentorships programs and Educational Scholarships
INLAND EMPIRE, Calif. – CREW (Commercial Real Estate Women) is reaching out to local, IE college students in an effort to help guide and further their careers through scholarships and mentorship programs – applications end April 27, 2012 in order to be considered for these programs.
Though it has been awhile since CREW-IE has had a recipient of the scholarship, with more applicants from the area than ever before, this is a prime opportunity for a local student to benefit from a unique opportunity to further their education and knowledge of the real estate industry. Last year there were ten, national recipients of the scholarship, each receiving $10,000 .
“As much as CREW is an educational and networking program to bring real estate professionals together, we recognize the importance of furthering the education of future generations,” said Mary Sullivan, of Sullivan Consulting Services, CREW IE foundation and community chair and executive board member. “These young women represent the future of not only the real estate industry but of the recovery of the economy as a whole. Additionally, with the rising cost of education many now need even more help than ever to complete their secondary educations.”
CREW also offers a mentoring program that allows these students to rub elbows with the successful real estate professionals from around the area and gather all the information that they have to offer.
Criteria for applications include young women from the Inland Empire who are currently college juniors, or seniors with real estate or related majors, who maintain a 3.0 GPA. Female students enrolled full time in a graduate program of an accredited real estate program at a college or university are eligible for the CREW Network Scholarship program as well.
