Dameron Communications Hires New Finance Director

(San Bernardino, Calif.)  After meeting Lynda Getchell, you realize the decision for Dameron Communications to hire her as its new finance director was an easy one.

Getchell started at Dameron Communications recently, charged with the duty of managing the company’s accounts receivable and payable department, insurance and finance. It wasn’t long however, before her understanding of public relations and advertising became an asset.

“Lynda is an outstanding addition to the staff,” said Carl Dameron, Creative Director for Dameron Communications. “Not only does she bring an accounting background, but she also possesses an understanding and passion for communication.”

Getchell, who worked as a finance manager for Riverside Rubber Stamp and Engraving before coming to Dameron Communications, grew up in Rancho Cucamonga. The youngest of two, her mother was a teacher in the Rialto Unified School District, while her father worked for Southern California Edison.

Graduating from Cal Poly Pomona with a degree in finance, Getchell has always enjoyed working as an extension of the public service arm for any organization she has been employed.  These days calling Loma Linda her home, you can often find her volunteering at Loma Linda University Medical Center.

“Giving back and making sure that the proper messages are communicated to a particular target market has always appealed to me,” Getchell said. “Its wonderful to work with a group of people that dedicates their time to so many worthwhile causes, and who have fun at the same time.”
