Diagnostic Assessment Course Offered for Teachers

The College of Extended Learning at California State University, San Bernardino is offering a one-day, information-packed course for teachers entitled “Enhancing Your Writing Program Throughout the Grades, K-12.”  Teachers will review how writing is taught in today’s classrooms, and gain the tools needed so that students complete meaningful writing assignments on a daily basis. They’ll examine instructional practices for writing that address the California State Standards for High School and the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) preparation. Teachers will receive resource packets with useful tools and information to help them develop their own classroom writing programs.

“Enhancing Your Writing Program Throughout the Grades, K-12” will be held on Sat., Feb. 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the Yasuda Center at Cal State San Bernardino. The course fee is $140 per person. Advance registration is required. Enroll in two or more eligible education courses at the same time and receive a 10 percent discount on each.
