Dos Lagos Halloween Spooktacular 2011

Inland Empire Halloween

2011 THE SHOPS AT DOS LAGOS TO HOST HALLOWEEN SPOOKTACULAR

A “Not So Scary Halloween” to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of  Orange County and the Inland Empire

CORONA, Calif. – Join the Make-A-Wish Foundation at The Shops at Dos Lagos in Corona for a safe and not-so-spooky Halloween on Saturday, Oct. 29, 2011, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. This family-friendly event is free and open to the public. Raffle and game tickets will be sold for $1 each and can be purchased on site the day of the event.

Come celebrate with wish kids and their families as they trick or treat, enter the costume contest, play games and more! Don’t forget to bring your pets—dressed up, of course— and catch the performance of the amazing disk dogs! All money raised will benefit the local Chapter and help grant more wishes for children in our local community, like 17-year-old Donald of Corona.

Donald, who was diagnosed with leukemia a few years ago, recently had a wish granted to have his ’65 Mustang restored. The crew at Barry’s Speed Shop in Corona partnered with Make-A-Wish to help make this happen. After a lot of hard work and late nights, Donald’s Mustang was finally finished. As the shiny, metallic gray car was unveiled, the smile on Donald’s face grew wider and wider.

Donald is one of more than 300 local kids who will have a wish granted this year through the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Orange County and the Inland Empire. In order for this to happen, the Chapter relies on support from community fundraising efforts, like that of The Shops at Dos Lagos led by marketing manager Heather Bordner-Ayyob.

The Shops at Dos Lagos is located at 2780 Cabot Drive, Suite 140 in Corona. For more information on the “Not So Scary Halloween” celebration, please visit www.wishocie.org or contact Kim Stauffer at kstauffer@wishocie.org.
