Eastvale, CA: Riverside County’s newest city—Eastvale—was featured in regional “town hall” forum for civic leaders in Temecula on February 17, 2011. Elected officials and civic leaders from throughout Riverside County were on hand to learn about Eastvale and the many advantages of locating new businesses here.
In addition to City staff, Eastvale’s presenters included Councilman Ike Bootsma and Planning Commission Vice Chair Michele Nissen. The forum held at the South Coast Winery in Temecula, was sponsored by Buchanan, Ingersoll, and Rooney, a nationwide legal and government relations firm.
When asked about Eastvale, Ms. Nissen described the community’s tight-knit neighborhoods, and the thriving civic spirit that led to the successful vote for incorporation in 2010.
City Manager Bob Van Nort discussed the City’s operations, and pointed out that realistic decreases in development fees will make Eastvale an even more attractive location for development.
Eastvale, with a young and growing population (currently about 48,000 residents) remains one of the bright spots in the local economy. Several housing tracts and commercial projects are under construction, and the pace of housing growth in Eastvale exceeds that of cities several times its size.
