Eloise Reyes Endorsed by the Central Labor Council, AFL-CIO of Riverside-San Bernardino Counties

Eloise Reyes’ Campaign for State Assembly Sends Political Shock Waves Across the Inland Empire by Securing the Critical Endorsement of the Central Labor Council, AFL-CIO of Riverside-San Bernardino Counties

The stunning rebuke of Assemblymember Cheryl Brown comes a day after Reyes posted fundraising that virtually mirrored the incumbents in the reporting period

San Bernardino, CA- The Central Labor Council, AFL-CIO of Riverside-San Bernardino Counties, representing 289,000 workers and families has thrown their support and substantial resources behind Eloise Reyes, voting to endorse her candidacy for the 47th Assembly District. The vote  is a stunning rebuke of incumbent Assemblymember, Cheryl Brown.”When we vote to endorse candidates and incumbents for public office, we look for people who will and have always championed the issues of Inland Empire working families–issues like improving wages and benefits, expanding access to health care and protecting pensions. The incumbent failed to live up to those expectations. We are endorsing Eloise because we know she will fight for our working families in the State Capitol,” said Central Labor Council President, Rick Bruer of UFCW, Local #1167.The endorsement highlights a very good week for Eloise Reyes!  On Monday, her campaign raised eyebrows with a robust campaign report that nearly matched Brown numbers for the period ($123,638; Reyes; $126,416 Brown).

“We have been working hard. We will continue to work hard to take our message to the voters. I am honored to receive the Central Labor Council endorsement and the fundraising numbers are encouraging. We have a long way to go but the promise of working for the betterment of our community in the State Capitol is a strong motivator,” concluded Reyes.

Eloise Reyes is a lifelong resident of the Inland Empire. She’s an educator, businesswoman and award-winning community advocate.
